40mm Bofors HE Round 1944

40mm Bofors round. The headstamp reads 40mm lot 419 1943 CF P&S and has a no.12 primer dated 1943. The projectile is dated 1944 and was converted to a practice round in 1951 by having an inert filling and tracer element added. The tracer is mint with all original varnish remaining. The fuze is a 259 converted to firing plug by having the explosive parts removed but leaving all the other internals. The driving band is stamped with various inspection stamps.
