FN Barracuda is a double action multi-caliber revolver that can be switched between three calibers (9 x 19 mm Luger, .38 Special and .357 Magnum) by changing parts of the cylinder. Originally police forces in Europe thought that revolvers were safer in the eighties than Semi-Automatics. FN decided to get into the revolver market and this represented Fabrique Nationale's only attempt into the revolver world. Production stopped after poor sales around 1989. The revolver itself is generally thought to be good, but targeted a diminishing revolver market for law enforcement thus having poor sales. Very similar to Spanish made Astra Revolvers.
